We went to the Zoo!

I have been wanting to take Henry to the Zoo for a long time and we finally made it today. We had a great time. Mimi was going to go but end up not being able to go last minute so Henry and I went by ourselves. We got there at about 11:00 and left at 4:30! We had fun just walking around looking at all the animals and riding the train. I believe the train was Henry's favorite. We road it twice and I am sure he would have road it more if we had time! Henry liked the lions and the monkeys a lot and also got to feed the giraffe. Also he kept telling me he wanted to see the Jaguar the first time around we couldn't see it but then as we were passing by again he was sitting where you could see him and he kept yawning so we got to see his big teeth.

Tuesday Debbie and I met Sarah and Madison at the park. As you can see the kids had fun swinging and sliding. It was kind of nice that Henry was able to take the steps and the slide all by himself I guess my little guy is growing up! As you can see from the pictures Aunt Debbie was so enjoying not having any kids to watch that she took a nap! Now that was a bit strange to me because I was so use to always going to the park with her and her kids and now they are all in school! Where does the time go?

Monday was a good day. Mom Henry and I went out to Ben's for the day so I Henry and I could meet baby Noah. It was nice relaxing day. Henry got to check out Uncle Ben's barn, which I am sad that you guys are going to take it down ;(, meet Noah, get his had stuck in the bed, find a dirt pile to play and last but not least get a bath in the laundry sink before the long drive home.

Henry did good on the flight as always but did get a bit antsy towards the end. I thought for sure he would sleep some but not a chance. I so wish he would have considering I had worked the night before. I guess gone are the days I could get on a plane fall asleep before takeoff and wake when we land! We had gone through all the toys and so sunglasses and my necklace kept him occupied for quite a while. Like I have posted before why is it that we buy toys?

Henry's 1st Sunrise

Call me crazy but we went down to the beach this morn to watch the sunrise. Now you all know I am not an early person it was Richard's idea so I figured what can it hurt I can come back home and take a nap. I have been living at the beach now for 10 1/2 years and this only the second sunrise I have seen! The first was when I first met Richard 9 years ago! We all had a nice time. Henry was great you would have never know that we woke him up to go down the beach. But he did get over tired and had a fit when I put him down for his nap. I think he cried for 20 mins and I finally went in an held him and he fell asleep sitting straight up! I don't think there will be anymore sunrises in the near future just kind of threw Henry's whole day off.

Richard had to go and due something with the lifeguards tonight and Henry and I were tired of being in the house all day so off we went. I had a gift card from Stienmart from Christmas and there is a Stienmart in a nice little shopping center with an ice cream shop next door so I thought why not do a little shopping and get some ice cream. As you can see from the pictures the ice cream was great the shopping not so successful didn't really find anything I wanted. Oh well will have to shop another day.

Tonight when I was leaving for work Richard and Henry walked out to the garage with me and Henry said "Mama Bye Bye" Now I know that doesn't sound to exciting but for the last month when I would leave for work Richard has been trying to get Henry to say "Bye Bye Mama" and tonight without any coaxing Henry just said "Mama Bye Bye" and it was not in a question form! Richard and I both said "Did you hear that?"Our little baby is learning and growing so much everyday ;')

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. We did not do much just relaxed during the day since I had to work tonight. I did take Henry to the beach in the evening for a while. It was a little bit chilly and windy but that didn't stop Henry from having fun. The two picture below were taken at Walmart we were there the day before Easter and they were taking free pictures with the Easter bunny so I thought why not. You know me likes a deal! As you can see in the first picture Henry is not so sure, which I thought that Easter bunny was a bit on the scary side myself.

As you can see from the pictures Henry has taken another fall. I swear I can not take my eyes off this kid for a second. I had just walked in the house with groceries and Henry was playing in the driveway putting rocks in a chimera that is sitting outside the garage. He has been doing this for months it keeps him busy and right on one spot. All of the sudden I hear a crash and Henry screaming. I run out pick him up and first thing I do is look at his mouth teeth are good great, then I see the big scrapes on his head luckily it was just scrapes and no big bumps. I think he may have been trying to climb on the chimera and knocked it over. I took him in and calmed him down and not five minutes later he had shut his thumb in the pantry door. I think he cried harder and longer about that then his head! So ever since he has had his scrape on his head he will point to it and say boo boo. Now we have taught him to say boo boo all gone. I have posted the pictures also so you can see the before and after of the missing tooth.

3 Boys Chuck E Cheese's and Me

Ok so maybe I was feeling like super mom today or maybe just plain crazy! Jen and Dave wanted to go to St. Augustine for the day so I said I would watch the boys. Now you know me I always like to do something fun with the kids when they come to visit, so I thought why not take them to Chuck E Cheese. Now I knew Will would not get anything out of it but thought Andrew would really like it. I loaded the three boys Andrew, Will, and Henry up in the minivan and off we went. I told Andrew I had a surprise for him. He was excited and when we stopped for lunch at McDonald's he said is this my surprise because they had a play place, I said no we are just going to eat here then we are going to go to the surprise. And Andrew said well this could just be my surprise. If I would have not been still feeling like super mom at that time I probably would have just let be but I was determined to take him to Chuck E Cheese. We got through lunch and loaded everyone back into the car. Chuck E Cheese is about 10 min down the road and by the time we got there Andrew was fast asleep but woke up quickly when he found out where we were. I put Will in the stroller and held Henry's hand and had Andrew hold his other hand and some how we all made through the parking lot all in one piece ;') I think all the kids had a good time. As you can see I only have a few not so good pictures. I was so mad I had left without my camera and was only a little ways down the street so went back to get it, but when I went to take a picture it would not turn on no battery! Thank goodness one of the little cars that they can ride in has a camera and it prints out a free picture. I didn't know it until Henry rode it. So of course I made all of the kids ride it so I could a least have some pictures.

As Becky was leaving Dave Jen and the boys were coming in. We had a good time. I think Henry was a bit overwhelmed by all the people at first but after a couple of days he was right in there with the boys. The weather was not the best and Andrew was sick for one day and then Dave was sick another day, but all in all I think everyone had a good time. We did get some good pictures at the beach one night as you will see when you read Jen's blog. Though it is really hard to get a picture where all four of them are looking at the camera! Thanks for coming it is always fun to have visitors come back anytime maybe next time we will have better weather and we can enjoy the beach ;')

It is 7:30pm tonight I am doing dishes and Henry comes walking into the kitchen and boom falls flat on his face and lets out an awful scream. I knew wright away that it could not be good. By the time I get to him to pick him up there is a puddle of blood on the floor. I look at his mouth and his tooth that was pushed up into his gums is now moved way down. Richard was not here so I had to keep telling myself stay clam so trying to catch the blood clam Henry and call Richard I was also looking for the dentist's phone number why would I have wrote it down? Oh because that would have been too easy. After calling the number twice I finally got the number I needed to call for an emergency. So with Henry screaming in one ear I was trying to hear the dentist in the other. The dentist said to meet him in his office in 20 mins. Richard got home and we put Henry in the car and headed down to the dentist. By the time we got Henry in the car he was acting as though nothing was wrong. Just happy and chatting. I sat in the back seat with him and kept telling him open your mouth. I was so afraid that the tooth was going to fall out and he was going to sallow it! When the dentist looked at it he said yes the tooth has to go no way to save it. Richard laid Henry down on his lap and the dentist pulled his tooth right out. Just a little crying from Henry and he was ok. So a couple more days of Motrin and Henry is good to go again. I am beginning to think Henry needs to wear a helmet! Does anyone have an extra one we could borough? Anyone?

How about a little funny along with all these posts about boo boos ;') These are older pictures but they crack me up. I have no idea what is so exciting about putting underwear around your neck but whenever Henry finds a pair he gets so excited and puts them over his head. He was in his glory one night when I was folding clothes so yes these are clean! He just kept saying more more! Not sure what this means but hope he doesn't keep his obsession of wearing women's underwear around his neck!

To the Dentist we go....

I got up early this morning to call and make a dentist appointment for Henry. I first called my dentist to see if they could recommend a pediatric dentist and they recommended Dr. Love (no I am not joking this is his real name)! I gave Dr Love's office a call and kept getting an answering machine giving me their hours and a something about billing and emergencies, nothing about scheduling an appointment. I hung up and called back and then realized that they did not open until 9 and it was only a little after 8 so I waited until after nine and still got the same message. I then decided to call the dentist that the ER had recommended. When I called they said they could work me in and that I may have to wait because I was a work in. They told me to come in at 1 and fill out paperwork and by the way we go to lunch from 2-3 and it will be $350 for the dentist to just see you! I said ok because I was not sure I could get into any other dentist and was still unable to get to speak to anyone at Dr Love's office. I called my dentist back to make sure there was not another number for them but they said no. I tried one more time this time someone answered the phone and asked if I could come wright away and that it would be $60 for the dentist to see me and $40 if they took an x-ray I said I will be wright there. Oh yeah did I mention that Dr Love is at the beach and the other dentist is in town. So I called the first dentist back and told them that I wanted to cancel. They put me on hold and when they came back on the line they asked why I was canceling I said because I found a lot cheaper dentist and they were at the beach where I live. They just said ok.
We waited probably about 15 20 min and the dentist came and took a look and told me all the things that could happen to Henry's tooth 1. it could turn grey from damage 2. it could get knocked lose again and fall out, and 3. it could also get infected. Then he said since Henry was such a good patient they would try and do an x-ray. They had me sit in the chair with Henry on my lap and they took one x-ray. He did great only cried when they put the film in his mouth. The x-ray showed that the one tooth was pushed up to his permanent tooth and there could be some damage but we will not know until it comes in. If so it will probably be an easy fix just a little bond needed. The dentist said there really is not much to do but watch it and follow back up in 2 weeks.

I know I have been way behind on posting, this post will tell all. Where do I begin? It is Sat. night Aunt Becky and our friend Ryan are here. Becky, Henry and I had a good day shopping and the boys (Richard and Ryan) had a good day of surfing. Becky and I were in the kitchen cooking food for dinner while Henry was outside with Richard while he was starting the grill and the fire in the little fire pot we have. All of the sudden I heard Henry screaming and Richard came running in the house with him. He took him in his room and then called to me "I think he knocked his teeth out." I couldn't help it I freaked out a little. That has always been one of my biggest fears with him falling that he was going to knock out his teeth! When I finally got a look at him you could tell that he had knocked his teeth pretty hard. One of his top front teeth was chipped and the other one was pushed way up into his gums. There was blood but not too much it did not bleed very long but it looked awful. So I called the pediatrician and they said I could bring him in and they would look at it. Thank god for 24 hour pediatricians since it is 6:30pm on a Sat. We got to the peds office and the doctor came in and jammed a tongue depressor in Henry's mouth and said "Ya he is probably going to loose that tooth." Richard was worried that he had broke something and wanted an x-ray so the doctor said we would have to go to the ER. I was pretty sure he did not break anything but Richard was adamant about an x-ray, so off to the ER we went. The ER doctor did not say much more and did not think he needed an x-ray but said he needed to see a pediatric dentist on Mon. She also said to give him Motrin and wrote a prescription for Tylenol with codeine (which we never ended up needing to give to him). So home we went with a beat up little boy. Props to the ER we were in and out in less than 2 hours! It did not seem to slow Henry down at all when we got home I knew he had to be starving, it was now 9pm and he had not eaten anything since lunch. I was not sure how he was going to do eating or drinking for that matter! Becky made him a peanut butter and jelly and cut it up in little pieces and I gave him a sippy cup with a soft spout without the valve in it and he at and drank like nothing was wrong! I guess for Henry this is just another bump in the road of growing up. For me it has been quite traumatic seeing how teeth gross me out and the fact that there really is nothing you can do about it. As I am writing this post a month later I am doing much better with all and just thankful that it is only his teeth and he will get new ones in let's say 6 to 7 years!

Aunt Becky came for a visit so we tried to teach Henry how to say Becky, he gave it his best shot and came up with Beck. We had a good time I think we made it to the beach twice did a little shopping and played cards with Aunt Marie a couple of times. It was not the best week of weather for the beach still a little cold and rainy;') We also made some very pretty Easter cookies which got ate before I could get a picture of them! In fact they did not even make until Easter! As you can see this an old picture of Becky and Henry some how she escaped without an updated photo. You gotta watch that girl she is sneaky like that ;')

My Little Trooper (Pooper)

My little Henry has been sick this past week. He has had diarrhea since Sat. and on Wed. night his belly blew up so big his inny belly button became an outie! Of course I notice this right before it is time for me to leave for work. So of course I had to call Debbie (our baby nurse) Jen and Sarah know what I'm talking about. I am sure she probably thinks not another question, why do you think I know everything about kids?! Well sister you have 4 and you are a great mom and nurse. Her advise was to call the doctor. I talked to a nurse who asked if he was crying or pulling his knees up and I said no, so she said it is normal for kids with stomach viruses to get bloated because they don't know how to get rid of the gas. She said I could make an appointment for in the morn if I wanted to, I decided we would just watch him and see how he was in the morn. I put him to bed on his belly and rubbed his back a little and he was almost asleep by the time I left for work. So off to work I went feeling bad leaving a sick baby ;'( About 10:30 I got a call from Richard saying that Henry threw up and that he had gave him a hot shower and put him back to bed and he was sleeping peacefully. Richard said the night went ok but with about 4 diaper changes. He has done much better today just some diarrhea a few times this morn and once this eve. Through all of this you would not know that Henry has been sick other than the diarrhea and not wanting to eat much the last couple of days he is still his HAPPY self. The only bad part last night and today has been changing his diaper. He has diaper rash so bad it is almost bleeding so we have just been standing him in the tub and rinsing him off. That has been the only time he has cried this whole week. He sure doesn't act like a normal man when he is sick you know all whinny and all. But I am not complaining about it that's for sure. I know how blessed I am with such a happy child.

Henry is always chasing the birds when we go to the beach so I thought we would feed the birds. I took some peanut butter Captain Crunch that has been in the pantry for who knows how long! As you can see the birds loved it and so did Henry sand and all. Though it may look as if the birds came down and attacked Henry they did not. To be honest he was pretty oblivious to the birds since he was eating the cereal as fast as the birds were!

Pancakes Anyone?....

Oh what a morning! Ok so I know Henry is definitely getting taller as I found out this morning he can now reach things on the edge of the counter. I had made Henry pancakes this morning. I had buttered them, put syrup on them and had them setting on the counter and turned around to get a knife and fork to cut them when I heard UTT OH. I turned around and looked and there was Henry standing there looking at the pancakes on the floor. Thank goodness I had just mopped the floor the night before so the pancakes went right back on the plate. Telling Henry to stay back (all I needed now was little syrup footprints all through the house) I went and got a soapy paper towel and wiped up the floor, still telling Henry to stay back I rinsed the floor and turned around to get a dry paper towel to dry the floor when I heard a thump followed by a wail. Yes Henry had stepped into the wet spot and fell and hit the back of his head. He was ok after a few minutes. Maybe I should have let him step in the syrup he could have stuck to the floor instead have busting his butt ;')

Henry is 18 Months

Ok so where does all the time go?!?! I it hard to believe Henry is 1 1/2 all ready! We went for his checkup today and he passed with flying colors. He had had an ear infection that on the recheck had still had fluid but was fine when we went for his appointment today. He is doing everything a 1 1/2 year old should. He is a little parrot repeating anything that you say, and can tell you what sound 10-15 animals say. He is still on the small side but nothing to worry about he is in the 21% for his weight and 25% for his height. He weighs in at 23# 4oz. And his height is according to the nurse he is 31 and 3 inches. I am pretty sure the nurse did not know how to read the tape measure because at first she said, "31 and 3 and again she said yeah 31 and 3" so I said, "31 and 3"? and then she said, "Yeah 31 and 3 inches". I am pretty sure it was probably 31 and 3/4 inches. I was going to measure him but never got around to it so I am going with 31 3/4in. Henry also got two shots which caused a bit of crying but all was well when he got a lollipop;') He did much better with his shots this time no fever unlike last time which was a week of fevers. No more shots until he turns 4 YEAH!

After the gym today I stopped by Bealls outlet looking for a B-day present for Andrew. I know I am late but have a box to send out for all the Feb. /March B-days. Anyway no luck on that but did come across a sweet deal! See below.

Ok so $19.99 is not that great of a price but I thought not bad then I saw the little green dot and realized it was 50% off! I was all about $9.99 so couldn't pass it up. But it gets better I go to check out and the cashier says "Do you have one of our Friday cards?" I said "No" and was getting ready to say I don't really shop here much because I figured it was a punch card, after so many punches you get $10 off, but before I could finish she whips out a card and scans it. Fridays at Bealls is 15% off who knew! So do the math and the generic big wheel cost only $8.50! Now tell my that's not a sweet deal ;')

Yes I had to put it together! With Henry's "help" it took maybe about an hour. Not bad, kinda fun the directions were just pictures so pretty easy to follow.

What a beautiful day it was today! So beautiful we decieded to play in the "FL snow";) As you can see from the pictures Henry had a blast playing in the sand, chasing birds and, splashing in the water.

NO! NO! & MORE....

Ok these are Henry's two favorite words right now. More is used for just about anything he wants more of : More food, more drink, reading more books, play more ect....
And NO NO is used for anything he is not suppose to do or get into. Occasionally or maybe more than occasionally you will hear Henry going "NO NO" and you know he is into something he should not be. For instance the other day there were towels folded on the couch and he went up to them and said "NO NO" which is good because in a sense he was telling on himself before he got into trouble, because normally he would have already had them all on the floor. I never realized how many times I must say "NO NO" in a day until I hear Henry go around all day finding things that are NO NOs.

Henry loves anything he can put on or over his head. Here he is playing with daddy's hat. Sometimes he will pick the rug up in the kitchen and put it over his head and walk around. I just know it is an accident waiting to happen. But I guess all little boys are daredevils.

Burnt Steak & Busted Lip....

Yep that is what was for dinner tonight in this household. Oh my gosh what an evening! I don't think the busted lip was the cause of the burnt steak. It was probably the rolling pin Henry dropped on his foot earlier. Then the busted lip came later. I was trying to grill, cook veggies and mac and cheese and in the middle of all my craziness Henry slips and busts his lip! At first I thought it might have been a tooth but thank goodness just a busted and bloody lip. The steak was burnt but still edible and the veggies and mac and cheese were good and the bleeding had stopped so all in all not a totally failure of a dinner.

Dear Henry,

Mama is very sorry for letting you cry for 3 nights before she took you to the doctor. You were getting 4 big molars and I figured that was why you were crying. But the doctor had other reasons for you to be crying, two not just one but two ear infections you had. So next time please pull on your ears or something. It is really hard to read you little mind! Next time I will try to not wait so long. So sorry ;(

While in Ohio for New Years we got to see snow! Though I am sad it was only for a few hours. We actually were suppose to leave the night before but our flight was cancelled so we stayed an extra night and got a few minuets of snow before we left the next afternoon.

One of Henry's favorite things to do is to hide in the cupboard. These pictures were taken at grandma's but at home he has his own little cupboard that he can play in. The game goes like this: Henry goes to the cupboard and says bye bye then he gets in and continues to say bye bye until you knock on the door and then he opens the cupboard and the game starts all over again. I have been meaning to get a video but have not had space on my card at the right time. So for now the pictures will have to due.

While we were in Ohio for New Years Mom, Debbie, Henry and I went shopping. Debbie and I were shopping and mom decided to take Henry for an escalator ride. He loved as you can see from the pictures. This is actually his second ride since I missed the first one and I am a picture freak in case you didn't know(hahha). So made them ride again to get some pictures. I am sure he did not mind. He even got to go for an escalator ride with Grandpa at the airport no pictures though since Grandpa was entertaining Henry while I was checking in. I am sure he enjoyed it just as much as with Grandma.

Christmas again!

While we were in Ohio for New Years we also got to have Christmas all over again. It was great until I got sick. Not sure where it came from just all the sudden I did not feel well and it was all down hill from there. All of you who also got sick know what I mean. I guess it just wouldn't be the holidays for me if I did not get sick. But man I don't think I have ever felt that bad!

Henry fell in love with Marie's cat Marley on Christmas day. He chased her all around the house, at one time Marley was on a chair and Henry was under the table not letting her down. Marley would play games with him. She would get almost close enough for Henry to get then she would run away. Henry would go screaming and running after her. He had so much fun with Marley there maybe a kitten in his future. Outside only though! I suppose we could start off with a cat and eventually get a dog. Cat's are a lot less work. Or we could just visit Marley! So we will see.

Ok so all you guys up north have snow days in Dec., but here in Florida we have beach days;') Not to brag or anything! It was a beautiful day today, so after lunch we took Henry to the beach. He could hardly get enough of it playing in the sand, and water, and chasing the birds. It was a very warm day but the water was pretty cold, though it didn't seem to bother Henry, that is until it was time to go and Richard had to rinse him off. I was up the beach and could hear him screaming from the cold water. He played so hard after a hot shower he took a very long nap.

We had a very nice Christmas. Henry did not really care about opening the presents. I think we ended opening most of them for him! He tried but did not get the hang of it. He enjoyed playing with his presents, and as you can see loved his tricycle he figured out how to get on really quick. He is still a little short but in no time he will have no problem with it. After opening presents and a nap for both Henry and Mommy(yes I had to work Christmas eve). We went to J-net and George's house for some yummy dinner and fun with their new WII. I may have flunked out on the hula hoop game but I was the ski jump queen ;') And we finished the night off with a wild game of pit. Thank you J-net and George for a most yummy dinner and an afternoon of fun and family. Hope everyone had a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.

Finally we are over the fever! Friday night was the last night of fever. I called the doctor on Friday because Henry still had a fever and had broke out in a rash on his belly and back which looked just like when he had Roseola about two months ago. After talking to the doctor it sounded like he probably had Roseola again, so yes Debbie you can get it more than once and it is some kind of virus. So the fever is gone but Henry has a nasty cough and runny nose and diarrhea all day today. So not only did the shots kick his butt but mine also. I don't know how many times a night I was woke up all week with his coughing or crying because he was burning up. We are working on getting him better for our trip to Ohio next week. Can't wait to see everyone ;')

Henry had his 15th month check up this Monday. He got two shots and has had a fever since Monday night it seems as though shots kick his butt. He just lays around pretty much. He also has got a nasty cough now. I called the doctor and they said his fever could last up too 72 hours. Hoping it goes away soon. It must be miserable for him.
His stats from his appointment are:
Weight 23# 13oz (25th percentile)

Christmas dinner with Granny & Uncle Samson

Tonight we had Granny and Uncle Samson over for Christmas dinner. We had a yummy steak dinner. Ok don't be jealous you Northerners but we had a Christmas dinner picnic. It was a beautiful evening we had dinner out on the patio. Richard had built a fire in the fire pot and we sat at the picnic table and had a nice dinner. Try that in Ohio!

Tonight we went to get Henry's stitches out. We had gone to Mayo to get his stitches so since I know all the doctors in the ER the doctor that put them in said to just bring him up and one of them would take them out for us. I do have to say it was much easier getting them out. Thanks Dr Graham you did a very good job Henry did not cry at all. As you can see it looks pretty good not to bad of a scar.

Visit with Santa

Today we went with Corey and Logan to see Santa. As you can see Henry had no problem with Santa he went right up to him, not afraid at all. Which is what I had expected it seems as though Henry knows no strangers which I guess can be a good and bad thing at he same time. Not sure what he told Santa he wanted though.

Here is Henry checking out the tree for the first time. I put it up while he was sleeping so when he got up he came out and just stared at it. He has been very good with it and dose not mess with it at all. I do have to admit it is kinda a Charlie Brown looking tree but works great in my small house. I thought I was going to get a real tree this year but glad I didn't I kinda really like it even if it is a Charlie Brown tree. Thanks Mom ;0)

Another 1st

This a first I would like to think I would not have to blog about again, but with a clumsy mama and a daredevil daddy I have a feeling there may be another post like this in the future. Though I will keep my fingers crossed and hope it dose not happen.
Tonight was our first trip to the ER. Yes that is right the ER! As you can see in the pictures Henry had to get three stitches rite in the middle of his forehead. We went to Aunt Marie's for dinner. Dinner was great, after dinner we had a good time taking pictures of Henry for Christmas and then we were just visiting while Henry was playing. All the sudden I heard Henry screaming I ran into the room and picked him up and saw blood running down his face. He had fell and hit his head on a end table leg. Uncle Bill looked at it and said he needed stitches, so off the ER we went. Henry did a very good job he only cried when they numbed it and while they snitched it. After that it did not seem to bother him at all.

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We had a long but good day. We went to Richard's Granny's for lunch, and when we got back Henry and I went to Aunt Marie and Uncle Bill's. We had leftovers and played a wild game of pit as you can see Henry even got in on the game, until he could no longer keep his eyes open from such a long day. He fell asleep before we left to go home.

Henry's new favorite thing to do is go in his room and get his dirty diapers out of the trash and bring them to me. He is so proud when he brings them to me. The trash can has a lid on it but he can open it. The other day when Richard went to put a diaper in Henry had put a bunch of his balls in the trash, one day the lotion was in there. So I guess if we are frantically looking for a shoe one morn the trash may be the place to look.

Ok so you should never say I'm never going to do that when I have kids! Yes tonight I have proved myself wrong. I had always said that I would not put my kid in front of the tv and use it as a babysitter. Ok so I did tonight. I was trying to make dinner and Henry was there right under my feet just winning and fussing, yes he dose do that from time to time. So I thought let's try the Lion King and it worked like a charm he sat and watched it while I made dinner. It also caught Richard's attention as he was walking through to get some more wood from the garage to work on the shower, he had to stop and watch for a while. In his defense he is a tv junky and could sit and watch just about anything at anytime usually three shows at once, but that's another story. So the moral of the story is never say I'm never going to do that when I have kids, until you have a one of your own.

Yes the little man had his first haircut today. As you can see it was getting pretty raggy in the back. No we did not style it to look that bad that is what it had looked all day! Richard was the one that decided Henry needed a haircut, and he is the one that wanted to grow his hair long. At first he was talking about taking him to get it cut then he said he could just take the clippers to it, I was hoping he would take him and get it cut, but he came in today and said I going to cut Henry's hair. I was on the phone with Becky and he was getting the clippers out so I said gotta go Becky Richard is going to cut Henry's hair. Richard did an ok job but it is still long on top so sometimes it sticks up kind of funny, he did agree that we should take him somewhere next time.

I decided it was time for Henry to try and feed himself so I let him eat his oatmeal by himself. He did a pretty good job as you can see, but he is pretty lazy and would rather have me feed him as I tried to get him to feed himself the next morning and he just sat there waiting for me to feed him! I guess he thinks why should I work for my food if some one will feed me ;)

Ok Henry will not stay away from the stereo so I thought since he is afraid of dolls if I put a doll in front of it he would leave it alone as you can see from the pictures it worked but not for long within a day he would touch the doll with a toy and pretty soon he would grab it and move it quickly out of the way and get to the stereo. So it did not work as well as I thought. Debbie said she would send me a Dora doll but not sure I want to traumatize him that badly afraid he might have nightmares.

The other night while I was making dinner I heard Henry fussing and crying I did not pay much attention to him. I just figured he was frustrated with something, but when he did not stop I decided I had better check on him. As I was going out of the kitchen he was walking towards me with drool running out of his mouth when I looked down at his shirt this is what I saw stuck to it!

A sandspur as you can see they are very pokey they hurt pretty bad when they poke your foot or finger imagine what they feel like when you try to eat them! I thought maybe after that he would not eat things off the floor no such luck everything still goes in the mouth. Henry was ok no blood but I guess I would be pretty frustrated to if I tried to eat one those little pokey things.

As always we both had a wonderful time. I am so glad that you all got to share in Henry learning to walk we may live far away but a least you got to share in one major milestone. Tonight Richard took Henry with him to go give a guy a bid for pressure washing and I went to the gym. When I got home they still were not back so I got to relax and eat my dinner without a little begger (Henry that is in case someone thought it might be Richard) standing there waiting for some handouts. Done with dinner now a nice long long hot shower. Usually on my work weeks it is so crazy trying to get everything done before I leave and sometimes Richard is working late so I have to get a quick shower. Not tonight though I think I almost ran out the hot water. Don't get me wrong I love having Henry around but this is the first time in a long time I was home all by myself. I am sure tomorrow will be a different story but tonight was very nice. Thanks Richard ;)

Last Sunday night Richard Henry and I went to St Augustine for dinner. It was Henry's 1st trip there. We had a wonderful time the weather was beautiful nice and cool. Bummer though that it was only a tease as it is hot and muggy this week. We walked around where they use to sell the slaves and Henry could not get enough of all the "balls" everywhere. Anything round is a ball. So I guesse you can say he had a ball haha!

OK we have progress Henry took a few steps today! I was sitting on the couch this morning paying bills and I thought I saw Henry take a few steps from the table to the couch so I was watching him and he did it again. Does it count as walking if he does not realize that he is walking? I tried to get him to do it again but he would have nothing to do with it and down he would go. I am sure soon enough he will be running. Not that I mind him not walking or walking, but if he was walking we could play outside more. He loves to be outside but as you know FL grass is not the best to crawl in. I had him outside tonight and he as crawling on all fours instead of his knees.

Today was Richard's B-day so I thought we would make him a card. Ok so mommy did most of it since Henry thought the markers were balls. Silly mommy anything round is a ball ;) I'm pretty sure in the last picture he has one in his right hand that he is getting ready to through.
